Paris Police arrested John Beau Gallaghan, 55, of Paris, at 11:20 A.M. on February 7, 2022. Gallaghan was observed to not pay for items and then leaving the store in the 3800 block of Lamar Ave. During the investigation, it was found that Gallaghan had at least two prior theft convictions so therefore, this charge was enhanced to a felony. Gallaghan was later transferred to the Lamar County Jail.

Paris Police stopped a vehicle in the 300 block of SE 12th St at 2:38 P.M. on February 7, 2022, for a turn signal violation. During the stop, the driver and passenger were found to be in possession of more than 4 ounces of marijuana. The driver, 18-year-old Tyrelle Emanuel Lewis, and passenger, 18-year-old Jalen Keshawn Sanders, both of Paris, were arrested and charged with possession of marijuana of more than 4 ounces. Both are awaiting transfer to the Lamar County Jail. Lewis was additionally charged with tampering with evidence.

At 2:50 P.M. on February 7, 2022, Paris Police stopped a vehicle in the 2100 block of Bonham St for an expired registration sticker. During the stop, the driver, Matthew Gerardo Cordoba, 35, was found to be in possession of more than 1 gram of methamphetamine. Cordoba was arrested and later placed in the Lamar County Jail.
