A suspect is in custody at the Hunt County Jail after allegedly threatening students at Texas A&M University-Commerce with a knife.

Initially, reports came in that someone had been stabbed Thursday afternoon on campus. Shortly after 3 p.m. on Thursday, the university issued a statement saying no one had been stabbed, but they had been threatened with a knife by a suspect.

Texas A&M University-Commerce Police officers responded to the call at the Morris Recreation Center on Thursday. University Police Department officials said a subject was threatening others with a knife. The suspect was soon taken into custody.
