REGIONAL: Crash on Hwy 271 ends in fatality

A vehicle crash about ten miles north of Mt. Pleasant claimed the life of a Titus County man.
According to Texas Department of Public Safety officials, 54-year-old Charles Wright was heading southbound on U.S. Highway 271 around 2 p.m. on Wednesday driving a 2016 Kenworth truck tractor while towing a trailer.
For unknown reasons, both the tractor and trailer left the roadway striking several trees before rolling over.
Sadly, Wright was pronounced dead at the scene. The cause of the accident is under investigation.
