Rhonda Jo Roden Sweat, 69, of Arlington, Texas passed away at her home, Saturday, January 22, 2022.

She was born on September 4, 1952, to Joe and Beatrice Akers Roden in Arlington, Texas. She married David Sweat on April 7, 1984, in her grandmother’s Akers home in Roxton, Tx. She retired from Fuqua Homes after 20 plus years of service.

She is survived by her husband, David Sweat of Arlington, her mother, Beatrice Roden of Roxton, her brother, Gary Roden of Arlington, stepson, Jeff Sweat of Arlington, stepdaughter, Michelle Azar and husband, Alex of Longview and step-grandson, Melton and many cousins.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Jamie Sweat, her father, Joe Roden and grandparents.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, January 26, 2022, at Restland Cemetery in Roxton with Nancy Russell officiating.
