The Paris-Lamar County Health District will offer another free COVID-19 testing site today, Jan. 25, 2022, from 5-8 p.m. at the COVID Center, 1128 Clarksville Street in Paris. Officials said they are offering this free, drive-thru testing site again to help alleviate the backlog of sick people needing tests at the local emergency rooms.
“No appointment is required, but you will have to be patient as we again expect large crowds,” officials announced on social media. “Stay in your car, test kits will be given to you to complete and you’ll give them back. Results will be called in less than 24 hours”
Officials stressed that you should not get out of your vehicle, as this clinic is a drive-up only.
“We will serve as many as we can during this period,” officials added. “We have limited staff, so be patient and do not get angry with us. We are doing this purely as a free community service.”
Officials ask that no one arrives before 4:45 p.m.
