REGIONAL: Human remains found in Hunt County

At approximately 3:45 p.m. on Saturday, the Hunt County Sheriff’s Office received a call of possible human remains found on County Road 1060.
Hunt County Sheriff’s Deputies and Investigators arrived on the scene and located what appeared to be a human skull. The Hunt County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Division conducted a thorough search of the area and said no other remains were located.
The Hunt County Sheriff’s Office, assisted by the Texas Rangers, will be working with the University of North Texas Center for Human Identification to determine identity. County Road 1060 is located in the northwest unincorporated area of Hunt County, near the Wagner community. One side of CR 1060 is farmed pastures and the other side is one of the Cypress Creek Renewables solar farms.
