Ray Homer Hudson, 87, of Llano, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 18, 2022, at the Heart Hospital in Austin.
Bright-Holland Funeral Home scheduled services for 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 23rd at the Pavilion of Woodland Cemetery with Rev. Neal Seaborn officiating. The family received friends at the pavilion from 2:00 – 2:30 p.m. Sunday.
Mr. Hudson, the son of Max & Nettie Fenter Hudson, was born July 23, 1934, in Paris.
He served in the United States Navy during the Korean Conflict and was a student of the Machinist Mate’s School. He later attended the University of Texas at Austin. His career as a purchasing agent for the State of Texas and for various hospitals spanned many years. It was during those years that he was called to Washington DC to be a Procurement Officer.
Ray enjoyed golf, woodworking, leatherworking, and caring for his 15 acres of land.
His parents and all his siblings, Howard Hudson, Dorothy Heavy, Benford Hudson, Marie Broomfield, and Virginia Saylors preceded him in death.
Survivors include his wife, Rhonda Baughn Hudson whom he married on Jan. 18, 1979, children, Felicia Weiruscheske & husband Hollis, Amy Robles, Jeremy Hudson & wife Kari, Jordan Hudson & wife Anna, and Amanda Hudson, ten grandchildren, and his mother-in-law, Doris Baughn along with numerous nieces & nephews and a host of friends.
