Prairiland Students competed at the Annual Como-Pickton Welding and Floral Design Contests and were recognized for awards from both contests. It’s always rewarding when students can take real-world skills learned in the classroom to go out and be competitive while preparing for a future.

Welding Contest Results:

*Granger Ervin-1st High Point Overall Individual

*Hayden Thomas-2nd High Point Overall Individual

*The team was 1st Place Overall out of the 12 schools competing. Team members were Granger Ervin, Hayden Thomas, and Fernando Cortes

Floral Design Contest:

*Joni Figueroa-1st Place in Round 1 Design

*The team placed 1st Place Overall out of 10 schools competing. Team members were Joni Figueroa, Cristal Silva, Makalah True, and Catherine Griffin.
