Jan. 31 is last day to register to vote in March primaries

With the March primaries coming, we wanted to remind our readers that Jan. 31, 2022, is the last day to register to vote in the upcoming election.
Those who are registered can also participate in early voting, which begins Feb. 14 and ends Feb. 25. Registering to vote is fairly easy and straightforward.
- You can send in a voter registration application to the county’s voter registrar by Jan. 31.
- To be eligible to register in Texas, you must:
- be a U.S. citizen;
- be a resident of the county;
- be 18 years old (you may register at 17 years and 10 months);
- not a convicted felon (unless a person’s sentence is completed, including any probation or parole); and
- not declared mentally incapacitated by a court of law.
