Snowflakes and Diamonds Gala set for Saturday
File / eExtra News
Benefitting the Red River Valley Down Syndrome Society, the annual Snowflakes and Diamonds Gala is set for Saturday at Love Civic Center from 6-11:30 p.m.
Last year, the gala had to go virtual due to the COVID-19 pandemic. This year, however, it will be back in person.
“The 2022 Snowflakes and Diamonds Gala is still on,” officials announced. “It will be live.”
This year’s gala will feature live music by Twisted Whisky, a dinner catered by Savory Sisters, and many great auction items up for grabs.
Support for this organization from the gala will allow them to fulfill their mission to extend their REACH program and other programs.
Program successes include:
- free one-on-one tutoring to individuals with disabilities;
- Johnny Stallings Recreation Program;
- workshops;
- baseball program that allows individuals with disabilities the opportunity to play America’s favorite sport;
- basketball program and adult social events; and
- resources, support, outreach, and social events for members.
According to the Red River Valley Down Syndrome Society, the gala is an evening of recognition with live entertainment, catered dinner, and a live and silent auction.
