Wanda June Sims || Obituary

Wanda June Sims, 79 of Paris, passed away Sunday December 25, 2022 with her family by her side.

Fry-Gibbs Funeral Home has charge of cremation arrangements.  A memorial graveside has been set for Wednesday, January 11, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at Evergreen Cemetery Open Air Chapel.

She was born in Altus, Oklahoma on December 5, 1943 to Marvin Weldon “Buddy” and Margaret Virginia Whitesides Ashley.  She worked many year at the family-owned business, Buddy’s Supermarket.

She is survived by her children, Mark Hayden Smith, Patricia Diane Smith; grandchildren, Chris Whitley, Jr., Harleigh Slagle, River Slagle; great-grandchildren, Kyler Haagensen, Bella Whitley; siblings, Saundra Hill, Winona Sue McReynolds; numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband and father of her children, Tommy Hayden Smith; grandchild, Ashley Smith; parents; brother, Max Ashley; brother-in-law, Glenn Hill.
