Chicota VFD’s annual chili supper set for February

Chicota Volunteer Fire Department has set its annual chili supper for next month. This year, the supper will be on Feb. 19 at the Chicota Community Center, 100 CR 35860 in Chicota, from 5-8 p.m.

This year, the supper will feature chili, Frito pie, hot dogs, and homemade desserts. There will also be a live auction available, along with door prizes for all ages.

At the moment, the fire department is accepting donations for its live auction. To make a donation, contact any of the VFD members in-person or on Facebook.

All proceeds raised will go toward the fire department’s gear and equipment needed to operate and protect the area residents.
