Commerce to hold annual Christmas parade

The Annual Bois d’Arc Christmas Parade will be held Saturday, Dec. 3. The theme this year is “Bois d’Arc Miracle on Main Street”. The parade lineup will begin at 3:30 p.m. on Park St. by the City Park with judging beginning at 4:30 and the parade starting at 5 p.m. 

Parade entries are encouraged to decorate their floats with lights and music to fit the theme. Judgements for float entries will be based on overall presentation, use of theme, Christmas spirit, and holiday cheer. 

This is a great opportunity to participate in the holiday spirit with the Hunt County community. Organizers have encouraged families, organizations, and businesses to join in on the fun by decorating a truck, car, trailer, or float to fit the theme. Entry forms can be found here. 

No walking groups will be allowed because the route includes the local nursing home and assisted living facility.
