WEATHER ALERT || Storm Potential Tuesday and Tuesday Night

March 25, 2025

National Weather Service has reported isolated thunderstorms will be possible (20 to 25% chance) on Tuesday evening along and east of the I-35 corridor. Weak forcing and marginal surface moisture is keeping uncertainty in storm development high at this time. Should these storms develop, there is a low chance one or two of these storms will be severe (5% chance) with damaging downburst winds and large hail the primary threat. There is a more widespread chance for showers and storms (30 to 50% chance) across the Red River Valley and northeast Texas later Tuesday night. These storms are not expected to be severe, though could produce periods of heavy rain and frequent lightning.

For the rest of the week multiple rounds of showers and thunderstorms are expected this week, with the most widespread rain anticipated Thursday night into Friday. Rainfall totals of 0.5 to 2 inches will be most common, although isolated areas of Central Texas may see up to 3 inches. Click here to stay updated on this week weather.
