City Appoints City Engineer
The City of Greenville has hired Steve Glass as City Engineer. He began his career in 1996 as a Utilities Engineer with the City of Tyler. With over two decades of progressive experience in municipal infrastructure, capital improvement project management, and engineering leadership. Steve served as Project Manager for the City of Dallas overseeing complex street and infrastructure projects, guiding them from design through construction, while ensuring compliance with local standards, codes, and ordinances.
Before the City of Dallas, he was the Assistant Director of Public Works at the City of Mesquite, where he led multiple departments and managed various in-house and contracted construction projects including wastewater pipelines, and infrastructure maintenance. Steve received his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from The University of Texas at Arlington, in Arlington, TX. We are pleased to have Steve join our leadership team.
We are confident that he will continue to lead the department with encouragement, strength, compassion, and leadership. Steve joined the
city staff December 16, 2024.
