Dallas Man Arrested for Reckless Driving in West Tawakoni

Monday evening a Hunt County Sheriff’s Deputy observed a vehicle going 90 miles an hour in the center turning lane of Tx276 in West Tawakoni. The Deputy was able to catch up to the speeding vehicle and initiate a traffic stop. The driver pulled into the driveway of the West Tawakoni Volunteer Fire Department. A West Tawakoni Police Officer arrived for back up, and the driver was detained.
Twenty Four year old Eric Alejandro Guerrero, with a Dallas address, was arrested and booked into the Hunt County Detention Center on charges of reckless driving, no drivers license, no insurance, open containers in a vehicle, and defective headlamps. Guerrero was released on a $1,500 bond for the reckless driving charge, paid a fine for the no drivers license charge and received time served for the other charges. His vehicle was impounded.
All persons arrested are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
