GISD Lion Pride Band celebrates a win at recent UIL Competition

GISD Director of Bands Dr. Matt Ownby commended the band’s hard work and dedication. “Our band students have been very dedicated to the success of our program from day one throughout the course of our marching band season,” Ownby said. “I’m incredibly proud of how hard they’ve worked, and they’ve already exceeded the expectations for improvement that we set for this fall. We have many more opportunities to show off our band program this year, and we are looking forward to working towards continued success.”
