Shooting at Economy Inn in Greenville

On April 5, 2023, at approximately 4:09 a.m., Greenville Police Department Officers responded to the Economy Inn located at 5103 Interstate 30, after a female called 911 and stated that she had shot a male.
Officers found the male, who had gunshot wounds. The male was transported to Hunt Regional Medical Center Greenville by AMR Hunt County ambulance.
The female caller was taken into custody for aggravated assault. Later Wednesday morning, Greenville Police Officers booked Ashley King into the Hunt County Detention Center on a charge of Aggravated Assault With A Deadly Weapon. King is being held on a $75,000 bond.
