Local man arrested after police chase

On March 5 Greenville Police officers attempted to stop a vehicle driven by Roberto J. Mendoza of Greenville that led officers on a chase through the city.
Officers activated the emergency lights whereby the vehicle refused to stop and a chase ensued. Several police units were called to join the chase.
The chase ended in the area of Walnut St. at Templeton St, where Mendoza exited the vehicle and began to run on foot. Officers caught up with the suspect taking him into custody without further incident.
Mendoza was booked into the Hunt County Detention Center on charges of fleeing a police officer.
