The Greenville Middle School Robotics Team dominated the BG Hudson Vex VRC Robotics tournament on Saturday, Feb. 11. Teams 2148A Technical Difficulties, 2148B Team Scream and 2148E Metal Mayhem traveled to Sachse where they competed against 22 other teams to launch and bash their way to the finals.
All three teams made it into the final match of the tournament, where they competed against each other in a two-on-two match. 2148A and their alliance partners came out winners, but all three teams brought home trophies.
Team 2148A Technical Difficulties members Ethan Kiowski, Chandler Harp, Jose Melendez and Nicolas Gonzalez won first place and the Innovate Award.
Team 2148B Team Scream members James Hamilton, Manuel Diaz, Seth Rice, Timothy (Dean) Goggins, MacKenzie Rosenbalm, Natalia Guerrero and Nivaeh Medulla won second place and the Judge’s Award.
Team 2148E Metal Mayhem members Damian Resendiz, Dazael Estrada, Jeremiah McDowell and Luis Najera also claimed second place.
