The Elks Lodge to hold Elks Hoops Shoot

The Elks National Hoops Shoot Free Throw Contest for Kids, hosted by the Greenville Elks Lodge, will be held Sunday at the Reecy Davis Center located at 4320 Lee St. The competition begins at 2 p.m. with registration opening at 1 p.m. 

The event features a free throw contest for children ages 8 to 13. The age groups of the competition are based on the contestant’s ages as of April 1. 

Those who win have the opportunity to compete at the district round of the contest and will receive a medallion. 

This is the 51st year of the Elks Lodge Hoop Shoot. Finals for the event will take place at the WNBA’s Chicago Sky and DePaul’s Blue Demons Wintrust Arena from April 20-23.
