Greenville to hold MLK Jr. Parade

Greenville will be holding its annual Martin Luther King Jr. Parade on Jan. 17th from 12:00 p.m. to 12:30 p.m. This is a time when the city of Greenville can come together to celebrate the life of civil rights leader MLK Jr.
The parade takes a route through downtown on Lee and Washington streets. The parade begins and ends at the market square. This event is hosted by Corporation for Cultural Diversity, the Greenville Interdenominational Ministerial Alliance, and the NAACP.
Martin Luther King Jr. was born on Jan. 15, 1929, in Atlanta, Georgia. He was an American Baptist minister and activist who was a leader in the civil rights movement from 1955 until his assassination in 1968.
