At a time when costs are rising across America, GEUS has been able to limit electric price increases in the Greenville community.

GEUS customers currently pay $124 for 1,000 kWh while people living in surrounding communities receiving power from retail electric providers are paying on average $182.

“Our diverse mixture of generation resources is no accident.  GEUS proactively maintains diversity to hedge against cyclical price spikes like we are currently seeing in the natural gas market.”, said GEUS General Manager Alicia Hooks.

GEUS has a diverse electric generation portfolio consisting of long term purchase power agreements from wind, solar farms and natural gas-fired generation.  GEUS also consistently produces its own power from natural gas-fired plants here in Greenville.

“GEUS’ goal to provide competitively priced electricity is just one piece of the puzzle, but we recognize it is a very important piece for our customer/owners”, added Hooks.
