Juanita Lavon Holt, 95, of Mt. Vernon, Texas passed from this life on June 29, 2022. She was born in Paragould, Arkansas on October 5th, 1926 to Amos and Sue Clampit. She was a member of Mt. Vernon Church of Christ. Juanita was a great cook and seamstress. Her favorite past times were puzzles and word searches. She loved Blue-grass style music and especially gospel hymns.

She is survived by sons: Welch Weldon Holt Jr. and John A Holt and wife Elaine; daughters: Betty Poe and Jackie Poteet and husband Ronnie; brother, Amos Clampit Jr.; sisters: Oleda Ashby, Geraldine Crumby and Alice Kaufman. Juanita has nine grandchildren, twenty-five great-grandchildren and 18 great great-grandchildren.

She is proceeded in death by her husband Welch Weldon Holt Sr. her parents; son Ricky Holt and grandson Scott Holt.

Visitation will be at 12:00pm on Friday July 1, 2022, prior to a Funeral Service which will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday July 1, 2022 at Lynch Funeral Home Chapel with Eric Poe presiding. Interment will be at I.O.O.F Cemetery in Caddo Mills, Texas immediately following the service. Donations in honor of Juanita may be made to the Dementia/Alzheimer’s Society or the Cancer Society.
