Golden Lions spring luncheon

GISD had a blast hosting the Golden Lions for their spring luncheon this week.
The drumline, mascot, cheerleaders and Flaming Flashes greeted the crowd with fanfare. They were welcomed to Greenville High School by junior Anika Escobar, senior Isaiah Lowe and junior Bentley Love. The Golden Lions enjoyed a scrumptious meal prepared by the GHS Culinary Arts students and served by GISD principals and district leaders. They applauded the Suzuki Strings Quartet, GHS Encore Choir and NJROTC cadets.
Superintendent Sharon Boothe presented a report that highlighted the district’s many partnerships and initiatives. She also shared an informational video about the 2022 bond issue.
Golden Lions were invited to all the home athletic and fine arts events, where they receive free admission with their gold cards. Several Golden Lions also toured the building, led by students.
The luncheon is one of their favorite events to host every semester.
