Debra ‘Debbie’ Ashley || Obituary

Debra Ashley, 67, of Greenville, passed away after a long illness on April 17, 2022. Debbie was born February 17, 1955, to Billy Ray Burkett and Lillie Mae Highnote and was a Jehovah’s Witness.

Debbie was a woman who loved animals and worked as a dog groomer for much of her life. She met the love of her life; Max Ashley and they were wed in 1973. They had one daughter, Misty Ashley, whom she was very close with, and she became like a mother to Misty’s friend, Kaila Shannon, and a loving nana to her son Aiden. She was also Aunt Debbie to Lisa Yasko, Jason Dever, and Great Aunt to Braden Pickerill and Hannah Garlough and Great, Great Aunt to Ivy Pickerill.

Debbie is preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her loving husband Max, daughter Misty, Kayla and Aiden, and numerous nieces and nephews and loving relatives that will miss her dearly.
