Adrien Lynn Witkofsky was called home to our Lord peacefully in her sleep at her residence in Rowlett, Texas on January 29th 2022. She was a proud mom, gama, sister, daughter, community member and breast cancer survivor.

Adrien was born in Clinton, Ok on March 2 1949 to Douglas B and Francis Elise Hammack. Adrien traveled all over the world from a young age being born into an Airforce family. She was an older sister to two younger brothers and a younger sister. She graduated from Nuremberg High School in Nuremberg, Germany in 1967 with honors. She met her late husband Marvin (Ski) Witkofsky while working at the Commissary on base while she was selling him a christmas tree. The two were later married in Germany that following October, 1969. They had two children Richard Witkofsky and Leslie Witkofsky. In 1992, Ski retired from the Airforce and the family moved to Greenville Texas where Adrien caught a passion for genealogy. She started her career by volunteering at the Hunt County Museum. She portrayed as Mrs Ende, one of Greenville founding families with her fluent German tougue. A few years later, she was hired on as administrative assistant and in 1998, she became the Director of the American Cotton Museum and helped move the musuem to the new location on I 30 including moving the Ende House and over saw the Audie Murphy statue and the war memorial wall. Adrien was also a big advocate for Audie Murphy Days. She retired in 2014 but still remained active in the community.
Adriens love for music started at a young age and never left her heart. She was a proud member of Wesley United Methodist Church since 1992 where she was choir member all those years. She loved the Christmas Cantata the choir would sing every year and was so joyful to show her love for Christ. She also loved to help her community by participating in the Follies where she was always willing to be silly and fun even if it meant puttin a bone in her hair and singing as cave woman!
Adrien was also a loyal member of Altusa. She loved her Altrus sisters with all her heart and couldnt wait to go to the conventions to learn more about being a strong member of the community. And speaking of being fun and silly, one of her favorite parts of the conventions was dressing up for the themes of her group, Cat in the Hat being her favorite.
Adrien has been a faithful member of the American Legion Womens Auxiliary for several years where she served seats as the champlin and historian. She loved helping with the Christmas toy drive and other events.

She is preceded in death by her parents Douglas B. and Francis Hammack, her late husbandMarvin (Ski) Witkofsky, her grandson Devon Witkofsky and her nephew Christopher Hammack
