James Freddie Maxwell 83, of Bryan, Texas died on January 12th, 2022. Lovingly known to his family and friends as Fred, he was born on July 3rd, 1938 to Walter and Lizzie (Smith) Maxwell in Hunt County, Texas. He lived in Texas his whole life.
Fred’s oldest daughter, Pamela Elkins precedes him in death. He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Nelda Yvonne Maxwell of Bryan, Texas; his daughter Gina Elizabeth Palmer and husband Daniel Palmer of College Station, Texas; his brother Billy Maxwell and wife Kathryn Maxwell of Fayetteville, Arkansas, 7 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
Fred was a meek, steadfast father, devoted husband, and loving grandfather. He was an adventurous guy and enjoyed racing stock cars and horses. He was always faithful to God, church and family. He made a huge impact on those who met him by being an example of honor and temperance. God blessed him wherever he went and he spent the last few months of his life surrounded by his closest family. He lives on in the memory of his beloved family forever.
He will be laid to rest in Campground Cemetery in Terrell, Texas.
