General election to be held to fill council dictricts one and two

The 2022 General Election to determine city council members will be held on  Saturday, May 7, 2022. The City Council Districts up for election this year are City Council  Districts One (1) and Two (2). 

Early voting will begin Monday, April 25th through Tuesday, May 3rd from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00  p.m. each day with extended voting hours to be held on Tuesday, April 26th and Thursday, April  28th, the hours will be from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. on those two days. All early voting will be conducted at the Voters Registration/Elections Office, 2217A Washington Street.  

Election Day voting for both District (1) and District (2) is Saturday, May 7th from 7:00 a.m. to  7:00 p.m. at 5501 S. Business Highway 69 South (Fletcher Warren Civic Center). 

Anyone not currently registered to vote has until Thursday, April 7th to register in order to cast a  ballot in the May 7th election. Questions concerning voter registration should be directed to the  Hunt County Voter Registration Department at 903-454-5467.
